Compatibility
The publisher announced that Silver Pines is Steam Deck Verified, a month before release. Verification means the game meets Valve’s compatibility checks for the Deck. It is not a frame-rate guarantee, and it does not say how the game performs in every scene.
The Steam version supports full controller input.
What the tests found
One review tested the launch build on Steam Deck. The reviewer recommends locking the frame rate to 30 FPS and using High graphics. The same test found the full game often ran below 60 frames per second, even at its lowest setting. That is different from the demo, which the review says held 60 FPS throughout.
For about 40 FPS, the review suggests medium graphics with textures set to Low. Low can reach 60 FPS more easily, but it removes some of the horror effects and the frame pacing is less stable.
These results come from one review of the launch build. They are not a benchmark.
Hotfix 1
The publisher’s Hotfix 1 notes, dated October 9, 2026, recommend that Steam Deck players use the DirectX 11 launch option to improve performance. No source compares performance before and after that option, so the review’s numbers do not show the effect of the change.
Community reports
ProtonDB lists the game as pending, with one report. That report rates it platinum with a confidence of inadequate. One report is not a community verdict, so do not use it as one.
