Silver Pines launched on October 8, 2026. The publisher’s launch announcement, titled “Silver Pines is Out Now!”, was published that day. The Steam store listed the game as released when this page was checked on October 11, 2026.
Timeline
- October 23, 2025. Team17 announced the game. At that point the platforms were Steam, Epic and the console systems then listed. The Nintendo Switch 2 was not among them.
- June 2026. The publisher confirmed October 8 as the release date, added Nintendo Switch 2 to the platform list, and released a Windows demo.
- October 1, 2026. Steam pre-orders opened. The publisher said the early October date avoids the crowded late-autumn release window.
- October 8, 2026. The game launched, and the demo was scheduled to remain available until this date.
- October 9, 2026. Hotfix 1 went out, addressing performance problems and some softlock scenarios.
Regional status
Store listings can show different dates. The UK PlayStation Store page showed October 7 when it was checked, while the publisher and Steam use October 8. Use the store for your region to confirm the date and the unlock time.
The sources do not give an official unlock time for each region. A third-party site gives a time in UTC, but this page does not use it because the publisher has not confirmed it.
Older dates
Some guides still list a June 1, 2026 release, from an earlier plan. That date is out of date and should not be used. The early October date is the one the publisher confirmed.
The demo
The demo was kept available until release day, as the publisher said. Check the demo impressions page for what the demo covered and whether it can still be found in the store.
